the male lead is nothing short of an asshole to be honest. perhaps he has never learned to communicate his feelings properly and express his "love", but to not even offer an apology for the way he treated her during their engagement was truly humiliating. he is downright manipulative and egotistical for trying to get back with her through his own means. he should take the time to reflect on what went wrong and try to understand her, rather than "helping" her.
let the woman be free and true to herself. he is not worthy of a great woman.

so looking at the next couple of chapters that are out, using google translator so might be wrong, but it seems that as kids - you know, when you're stupid and don't yet know how society will treat you in the future - seme kept asking uke to date him, and in the end uke relented and told seme that if he wins the chairmanship of the company then he'll date him, cuz he hasn't had any competition lately. and this stupidity is now why the seme is insisting on winning the spot that is all uke ever wanted. he plans to win it and give it up immidiately to uke.
